About the Live To Tell Program

Addiction never discriminates between young and old or rich and poor. And every time it will make the addict and everyone in his or her path pay a terrible price. Live to Tell traces the life of an “invincible” teen athlete and cancer survivor Tim Rader, and his dark journey through drug abuse, opiate addiction, homelessness and hopelessness. Through God´s grace and a lot of hard work, Tim is one in a million - an addict who lived to tell. His story reaches out to a diverse audience, but has a special message for teens and young adults, who are most vulnerable to drug abuse and addiction.

Live to Tell is designed to address many of the real issues that face today´s young people. Social pressure, negative influences, personal insecurities, rebellion and feelings of invincibility all are factors which make it possible to succumb to addiction. The pitfalls during this vulnerable time are real and they are many. Tim´s story puts a real face to addiction and its consequences. Parents, teachers and other adults also can benefit from Live to Tell and Tim´s message of caution and hope.
